Helen S. (Smolnycki) Fatcheric

Helen S. (Smolnycki) Fatcheric, of Attleboro, where she has lived for 3 years, died Friday, July 22, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was 93.

Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Bodner) Smolnycki and was educated in the Syracuse Public Schools.

A homemaker for many years, she had previously worked as a food service manager for the Holy Family School in Syracuse. She was a life member of the Fairmount School PTA. She had been a Wrentham resident from 2000 - 2008.

Wife of the late Frank Fatcheric, she was the mother of Richard Fatcheric and his wife Dolores of Princeton, Thomas A. Fatcheric of Wadsworth, OH, and Margaret Whitbread and her husband Joseph of Wrentham. Sister of Katherine Bunn of Syracuse, she is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may gather at the R. J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Wrentham, on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 8AM followed by a Funeral Massat 9AM at St. Mary's Church, 140 South St., Wrentham. Burial will be in DeWitt, NY.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 174 North Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472 or the Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel St., Syracuse, NY 13219
