Mabel Agnes Basson, 93, of Marion Road, Middleboro, died on January 12, 2013 at the Nemasket Health Care Center in Middleboro. 

     Born in Boston on March 25, 1919, she was a loving daughter of Arthur W.  and Mabel Gertrude (Trent) Ellis.  She graduated from Boston Schools and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts. 

     She had been employed for 56 years and until retirement as a Statistician for the Commonwealth of Mass, working at the Dept. of Education, the Commission for the Blind, and the Mass Rehab Commission.  She formerly made her home in Hull.

   She was the loving mother of Lisa Crowley of Millis, David J. Basson of Newburyport, Mark P. Basson of Middleboro, and Brian P. Basson of Bellville, IL.  She was the dear sister of Arthur Ellis of Weymouth, and the devoted grandmother of ten Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.

     Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, on Thursday from 4-8 PM.  Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
