 Eugene F. “Skip” Brooks Jr., 69, of Rowell Road, Wrentham, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his home on Thursday evening.  He was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Page) Brooks, and to whom he was married on January 22, 1965.      Born in Milford, on June 20, 1943, he was a son of the late Eugene F. Brooks Sr, MD, and his wife Ruth (Meade) Brooks.      Skip was a graduate of the King Philip Regional High School in the Class of 1962, Dean Jr. College, and the Cambridge School of Broadcasting.      He was employed as a sales consultant with MD Stetson Company of Randolph.  He had formerly worked at Richmond Sales, Colgate-Palmolive, and Ziff, and was the owner of Klean- Guard Co.      He was the former advertizing director for New England Outdoors Magazine, and was the Assistant Lighting Director for the Harvey Hudson Show on WGBH.      A lifelong Wrentham and Norfolk resident, he had been an active Wrentham Lion since joining the Wrentham Lions Club in 1972.  He is a Past King-Lion, and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award.      A Communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wrentham, he was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in the Franklin Chapter K of C.  A member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, he had been a Crew Leader within the organization.    He was President of the Lake Archer Canoe Club.   In addition to his wife Stephanie, he leaves four loving sons, David Brooks of Plainville, Christopher and his wife Kelley Brooks of Bellingham, Robert Brooks of Quincy, and Eugene Patrick Brooks of South Attleboro, a dear brother, Peter and his wife Mary Ann Brooks of Powhatan, VA and of the late Joyce (Brooks) Kemp.  He was the loving grandfather of Jessica, Zackary, Camron, and Tyler.      Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, on Sunday from 1-4PM.  His Funeral Mass will be Monday at 9AM, in St. Mary’s Church, 140 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre.       Donations in his memory may be made to the Wrentham Lions Club Eye Research, PO Box 486, Wrentham, MA 02093 or to Tufts New Medical Center, 800 Washington Street, Box 231, Boston, MA 02111.
