Ryan Patrick Hopkins, 26, of Ridge Road in Norfolk, died Tuesday August 20, 2013, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, from work related injuries sustained in a tree cutting accident in Holliston. He was the beloved son of Mary (Carr) Hopkins and the late Thomas Hopkins.
Born in Norwood on March 22, 1987, he grew up in Norfolk and was a graduate of the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole in the class of 2005. He was employed as a Landscaper with Ahronian Landscape and Design in Holliston, an employment he had begun as a student in a cooperative class while at the Aggie. He had just received his Ten Year Recognition from the Company this past Friday.
While at the Agricultural School he had been active in sports. He served as Co-Captain of both the Agricultural Schools Baseball and Basketball Teams.
In addition to being survived by his mother, he leaves dear twin brother Christopher Hopkins of Quincy, and a dear sister Meghan Jones and her husband Brendan, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and a loving grandmother Patricia Hopkins of Andover.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, on Friday from 4-8 PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Saturday at 10AM, in St. Jude’s Church, 86 Main Street, Norfolk, MA
